P2Pprivate.ai Desktop Setup Guide

What you need

Before you begin, make sure you have:

1. A P2Pprivate.ai account or workspace access.
2. The P2Pprivate.ai Desktop download from the Downloads page.
3. A Private Desktop Link key from your P2Pprivate.ai workspace.
4. A Windows or Mac computer.
5. Internet access for the first setup.

P2Pprivate.ai Desktop is for adults 18 and older. AI replies are generated from user prompts and should be reviewed before relying on them.

Step 1: Download P2Pprivate.ai Desktop

1. Go to the P2Pprivate.ai Downloads page.
2. Choose the download for your computer:
   • Windows Installer
   • Mac Installer
   • Offline Installer Pack
3. Save the file to your computer.
4. Open the downloaded file and follow the installer steps.

If you are using the Offline Installer Pack, unzip the pack first, then open the P2Pprivate.ai Desktop app inside the Windows or Mac folder.

Step 2: Create your Private Desktop Link key

1. Sign in to your P2Pprivate.ai workspace.
2. Open the Desktop or Private Desktop Link page.
3. Click Create Private Desktop Link.
4. Copy the link key when it appears.

For your safety, the key may only be shown once. If you lose it, create a new Private Desktop Link key.

Do not share your Private Desktop Link key with anyone.

Step 3: Open P2Pprivate.ai Desktop

1. Open the P2Pprivate.ai Desktop app on your computer.
2. The app is already connected to P2Pprivate.ai.
3. Paste your Private Desktop Link key into the setup box.
4. Enter a desktop name, such as:
   • My Private Desktop
   • Office Desktop
   • Review Station

Step 4: Choose your profile

Choose the profile that fits how you want to use the desktop app.

Generative Profile

Use this for private chat, drafts, planning, summaries, and research-style help.

This is the safer everyday profile.

Agentic Profile

Use this when you want approval-based desktop assistance.

Agentic Profile may help with tasks that involve local review, files, folders, or approved desktop workflows. You stay in control and can review results before anything is sent back.

Step 5: Confirm adult use

Check the adult-use confirmation.

By continuing, you confirm that you are 18 or older and understand that AI replies are generated from user prompts and should be reviewed before relying on them.

Step 6: Review safety settings

If you are using Agentic Profile, review the safety settings before continuing.

Recommended starting settings:

• Require approval before sending task results back: On
• Allowed apps: Browser
• Allowed folders: Downloads
• Blocked actions: payments

Keep these settings simple at first. You can adjust them later.

Step 7: Save setup

Click Save setup.

The app will save your Private Desktop Link settings on your computer.

Step 8: Check connection

Click Save and check connection.

If the connection is working, the app will confirm that your desktop can reach P2Pprivate.ai.

If the connection does not work, check:

1. Your internet connection.
2. That the Private Desktop Link key was copied correctly.
3. That the key has not been revoked or replaced.
4. That security software is not blocking the app.

You can save setup first and check the connection again later.

Step 9: Check for tasks

Click Check for tasks.

If your workspace has approved desktop tasks waiting, the app can pull them into your local desktop task inbox.

Tasks are handled through a private desktop link. Normal users do not need router changes, port forwarding, or tunnel setup.

Step 10: Review results before sending

Click Open Review Panel.

The Review Panel lets you review saved task results before sending them back to your workspace.

You can:

• Review a result
• Send an approved result
• Discard a result
• Keep working locally

For safety, review results before sending them back.

Step 11: Export an offline installer pack

Click Export Offline Installer Pack when you want to save a local installer pack.

This can be useful if:

• You want to keep a backup installer.
• You want to share the installer locally.
• Internet access may not be available later.

The offline pack lets someone install or open the desktop app locally, but they still need their own Private Desktop Link key to connect to a workspace.

Step 12: WOTA rewards and contribution mode

If your workspace allows approved contribution activity, you may see an option to report eligible contribution activity for WOTA review.

WOTA rewards are not automatic. Eligible activity may be reviewed before payout.

Examples of activity that may be reviewed include:

• Approved AI network contribution
• Completed approved tasks
• Uptime or participation checks
• Other verified contribution activity

Never paste a wallet seed phrase or private key into P2Pprivate.ai. Only use a public payout address when entering wallet information.

Troubleshooting

I lost my Private Desktop Link key

Create a new Private Desktop Link key from your P2Pprivate.ai workspace.

The app says it cannot connect

Check your internet connection, save setup, and try again later. Also confirm that your Private Desktop Link key is still active.

The desktop app opens, but no tasks appear

There may be no approved tasks waiting for your desktop yet. You can check again later.

I want to change profiles

Open P2Pprivate.ai Desktop, choose Generative Profile or Agentic Profile, then click Save setup.

I want to stop using this desktop

Go to your P2Pprivate.ai workspace and revoke or remove the Private Desktop Link for that computer.
